What is the perfect present for a party?
At Wicked Uncle, we have done extensive research on the criteria for a perfect gift to bring to a classmate’s party. We’ve found that the present either has to come in a respectably-sized box, so it sits nicely with its peers on the gift table, or be so cool that it doesn’t matter that the box is small. And most importantly, it’s got to be original because no child likes getting duplicate gifts. Luckily we have so many unusual toys for kids that you will guarantee your child many more party invitations as word spreads that you are a brilliant present-buyer…
How much should I spend on a classmate’s birthday gift?
The answer here varies, and it’s ultimately up to you and what you’re comfortable with. However, the sweet spot, price-wise, is usually in the range of £5 up to around £15 or £20, depending on how well your child knows the birthday child. If the birthday boy or girl is your child’s best friend, you might spend on the higher end of the range (or even a little more). If the birthday child is really more of a casual friend or acquaintance, most parents agree that it’s fine to spend on the lower end of the range. As mentioned above, we think the most important thing isn’t how much you spend–it’s that you get a really cool and original gift that the child is sure to love!
