Being an adult can feel like one long to-do list. There always seems to be something that you have to do and no time left over to do the things you want. With bills to pay, laundry to wash, and kids to raise, it can feel like there\u2019s never any time to just play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s so easy to get stuck on the hamster wheel of life. But being caught in an endless cycle of work, chores, sleep, and repeat is no fun for anyone. Sometimes, you just need to forget the to-do list for a while, and make some time to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Wicked Uncle, we\u2019re all about the serious business of having fun. So, if you need to bring more fun into your life we\u2019re here to help! To get you started we\u2019ve put together a list of 8 fun things we did as kids that we should all still do as adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being an adult is hard; let\u2019s make some time to play!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Too many of us adults are guilty of not spending enough time outside. We\u2019re indoors all day, sitting at a desk, staring at a computer, and we miss out on the beauty of the outdoors. We all know that fresh air and exercise is good for our health and well-being. So, don\u2019t forget to step outside every once in a while. If you can manage it, get out there and play! Climb a tree, get into a water fight, or just go for a walk. The choice is yours!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Doodle<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Don\u2019t make doodling become a lost art! Doodling is good for you. It\u2019s relaxing, it enhances creativity, and it can even give you a well-needed emotional outlet. Plus, it\u2019s fun! The past years have shown a resurgence of doodling for both kids and adults. Get yourself a good doodle book, or just grab some paper and a pencil and let your creativity flow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Make a rubber band ball<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    We\u2019ve all got rubber bands lying around at home, so you may as well do something useful with them. Making a rubber band ball is something you probably haven\u2019t done for years. So, here\u2019s a reminder of how to make one:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Wad 10 rubber bands together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Use a small rubber band to hold them together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Start the ball with small rubber bands.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Use consecutively larger rubber bands as your ball gets larger and rounder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Continue indefinitely.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Gather the accolades you deserve for creating The World\u2019s Largest Rubber Band Ball.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Revel in glory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      4. Daydream<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Daydreaming is essential. A little mind wandering, it turns out, is good for your working memory. And the better your working memory is, the more you can daydream. It\u2019s a circle of mental happiness. We all need a few minutes away from reality once in a while, and what better way to do it than with a daydream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5. Tell stories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      You probably already read stories to your kids every night. But do you ever make up your own? Your stories don\u2019t have to win the Pulitzer prize, they don\u2019t even have to be very good.       6. Build a fort<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Who said that\u00a0building forts\u00a0is just for kids? Sometimes building a place to close out the world for a little while is a good thing. There\u2019s a lot going on out there in the world that is out of your control, but inside your fort, the world is what you want. Read a book in there, watch a movie, or move straight to item #7\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      7. Sleep in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Adults, the world demands a lot of you, all the time, every day. You need rest; it\u2019s not laziness, it\u2019s a scientific fact. Choose a day, even if it\u2019s just one day a week, when you can sleep in if you want to. Especially if you\u2019re someone who starts their every day as a go, go, go person, you can use at least one day to lie in bed and be a wait, wait, wait person. Give your mind and body a little more rest, and you\u2019ll be much more efficient the rest of the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8. Play with toys!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
