    Wreaths are a wonderful way to make your home look festive, and because they’re usually displayed on the front door, they’ll be the first thing your visitors see. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To make a basic wreath, you’ll need to start with a circle fashioned from thin wire. From there, you can let your creativity take the lead. Many people enjoy making traditional nature-inspired wreaths — do a bit of foraging for materials, shape twigs or greenery around your wire circle, and add pops of colour and texture with berries, pinecones, flowers and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Garlands are another super cute and incredibly easy Christmas decoration. Making them is also a great family activity and something you can all do while watching Christmas films or drinking hot chocolate and chatting around the fire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Basic Christmas garlands can be made by looping thin strips of paper and connecting them in a chain. You can do a DIY version at home, or many supermarkets and shops sell kits for these types of garlands during the Christmas season. You can also cut out shapes — stars, hearts, snowflakes, gingerbread men — and then use a hole-punch to create holes to feed a string through. Instant Christmas cheer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Of course, many of us will remember turning food into garlands as children! Feed popcorn or fruit like cranberries through a threaded needle until your garland is long enough to wrap around the tree or across the mantelpiece.
